Working in Partnership
2makeit is delighted to be in partnership with a number of esteemed organisations working in business, the arts, criminal justice and the third sector
Insider Access is a unique not-for-profit social enterprise with a passion to engage non-traditional learners into learning, employment and achieving their fullest potential in society.
Pictora is an innovative not-for-profit social enterprise, bringing the therapeutic value of offender art together with the practical creativity of entrepreneurship and business enterprise skills, in order to support offenders in prison, ’Through the Gate‘, and back into society.
All original artwork on the 2makeit website is used by courtesy of Pictora and is all produced by prisoners. More examples can be seen on the Pictora website and on the Made Visible online exhibition.
2makeit is very proud and grateful to have been offered the financial and developmental support of Lloyds Bank Foundation. Who are they and what exactly do they do? In their own words –
“We’re an independent charitable trust funded by Lloyds Banking Group. We partner with small and local charities helping people overcome complex social issues such as mental health, homelessness and domestic abuse. Their size and understanding of the people and local communities they work with means they’re able to make life-changing impact where others can’t. But these charities are under-funded, under pressure and too often ignored.
That’s why we’re more than just a funder – we work in partnership with the charities we fund and others who share our vision.
We listen, understand and respond to charities, funding them for longer and providing developmental support to grow stronger and become more sustainable. We influence policy and practice to help charities thrive in the future and to address the causes and consequences of complex social issues”
“The Goldsmiths' Company Charity is proud to support charitable, educational and cultural partners to help improve lives.”
These words head up the website of The Goldsmiths’ Company Charity and we are delighted to welcome the charity as a supporting partner backing our own work using creativity to help improve lives. One of the main focus areas for the Goldsmiths’ Company Charity Committee is prisoner resettlement and the Charity has been very generous in supporting our plans for the development of our community work.
